Next Sunday, August 3, British pop icon Robbie Williams will arrive in Latvia as part of his spectacular new “BRITPOP” tour, which has taken the breath away from hundreds of thousands of fans across Europe. At Mežaparks Lielā estrāde in Riga you can expect a full-scale production with the same technical setup and staging used for his shows in the world’s biggest cities.
“This is truly one of those rare occasions when the entire technical production for an open-air concert in Latvia arrives together with the artist,” says Ģirts Majors, representative of concert agency FBI and organizer of the event. “The stage structures for Robbie Williams’ concert are coming from Denmark, as no such large-scale or load-capacity stage is available in the Baltics. All other technical equipment for the concert — including backstage dressing room furniture will also be brought in along with the star. The attention the artist gives to every detail is a clear sign that we’re in for a concert of unprecedented scale at Mežaparks,” adds Majors.
This summer’s grand tour promises fan favorites such as “Feel,” “Let Me Entertain You” and “Angels”, as well as surprises from Robbie Williams' upcoming studio album “BRITPOP” – set to be released for streaming on October 10.
Robbie Williams' reputation as one of the greatest modern showmen is confirmed by music critics who’ve already experienced the tour elsewhere in Europe. The esteemed British newspaper "The Times" called the show a “five-star stadium triumph,” while "Rolling Stone UK" dubbed it one of the most thrilling stadium shows of the year. "The Daily Telegraph" and other media have also praised Williams’ dazzling and confident performance, highlighting his fearless stage presence, sharp humor and true musicality. Reviews emphasize his unparalleled charisma and ability to turn every concert into an unforgettable experience with genuine audience connection.
Warming up the crowd before Robbie takes the stage will be special guests Lottery Winners – a British band known for their humorous, joyful and irresistibly catchy Britpop spirit.
Tickets are available at all "Biļešu serviss" outlets and online. The last remaining tickets in the €89.00 price category are still available. There is no age restriction for the event, but every attendee, regardless of age, must have a separate ticket. The concert on August 3 at Mežaparks Grand Stage is organized by concert agency FBI.
